Exhibition: August 16 - October 4, 2026
With “flora pondtemporary,” the Stiftsteiche (abbey ponds) in St. Florian will become an exhibition space for contemporary art. The project was initiated by the Vienna-based artist-run space Kulturdrogerie. The 8th edition of the exhibition project flora pondtemporary, taking place in 2026, will once again facilitate exchange between international artists, residents of St. Florian, and art and culture enthusiasts from the surrounding area, Linz, and Vienna.
New artistic productions by Theresa Hattinger (AT), Clemens Mairhofer and Marie-Andrée Pellerin (AT and CA), as well as by Martin Sturm (AT) engage with the local infrastructure and expand the exhibition project with participatory installations and sculptures. The artists create site-specific works, performances, and participatory formats through which they shed light on sociopolitical and ecological issues and themes while placing them within a local context.
In light of increasing social polarization, flora pondtemporary seeks common ground for shaping democratic processes. Social dynamics are not viewed as something that arises solely between people, but are situated within an ecological, holistic context.
Currently, works by the following artists are on display at the Kunstpark:
Hannes Gröblacher, Lisa Großkopf/Soukaina Joual, Theresa Hattinger, Marlene Hausegger, Markus Hiesleitner/Klara Paterok, Nicole Krenn, Mairhofer/Pellerin, Antje Majewski, Mother Of Pearl, Imre Nagy, Netzer/Reyer, Payer Gabriel, raumarbeiterinnen, Martin Sturm, Franz Tišek, zirkus zirkulär
