raumarbeiterinnen
POSITION.
posture, position, hierarchy. Public space is constituted by location, limitation and possibility. Our actions and the way we perceive and encounter each other determine it beyond its boundaries. Space, and how we understand it, is not an architectural one, not one with walls and artificial boundaries; it is a social mesh, a togetherness-in-relation, a place of community that is always emerging.
raumarbeiterinnen explores the urban practice of immaterial appropriation and deals with the recognized use of public space, influenced by its architectural conditions. The role of the space users and their behavior is at the center of the performative research.
